Ingredients
- 3 cups cabbage shredded finely
- 1/2 cup onions
- 2 green chillies chopped fine
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- a few curry leaves
- 1 tsp oil
- salt to taste

Method
- Heat the oil in a kadai
- Add mustard seeds and curry leaves
- Add the onions and green chillies and saute till the onions turn transparent.
- Add turmeric powder.
- Add the cabbage and salt and cook covered till done.
- Before taking off the flame, add grated coconut and mix well.
Grated carrots and peas can also be added to the cabbage for variations
