Description
A Burmese sweet dish made with sooji and coconut milk
Ingredients
1 cup sooji
1 cup sugar
2 cups coconut milk
3 tbsps roasted sesame seeds
2 tbsp ghee
Method
Heat the ghee
Roast the sooji in the ghee till it turns light brown in colour
Add coconut milk and cook on a slow flame till most of the liquid has evaporated
Add sugar and cook continue cooking till it becomes thick
Transfer to a greased oven proof dish and flatten the surface.
Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds on the top to form a thin layer
Bake in a pre heated oven till cracks appear on the sesame crust
