Ingredients

2 cups Basic white sauce

3 cups cooked crab meat

3 tbsp grated cheddar cheese

1 tbsp bread crumbs

1 tsp butter

Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Method

  1. Saute the crab meat in a little butter
  2. Add to the white sauce and adjust seasonings
  3. Transfer to a baking dish
  4. Sprinkle the cheese and bread crumbs on top and dot with butter
  5. Baked till the cheese forms a crust on the top.

Variation

You can use the same recipe for baking fish. Boil the fish fillets with a little salt and pepper. Crumble the fish and add to the white sauce.

Tip

Using Sping onions instead of the regular onions give it an added flavour
