Description Spicy fried tender quails

Ingredients

8 – 10 quails

3 large onions grated

3 tsp ginger garlic paste

3 tsp chilli powder

2 tsp coriander powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp garam masala powder

Salt to taste

3 tbsp oil

1 inch piece cinnamon

2 cloves

2-3 pods cardamon

2 tbsp almond powder

Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

 

Method

  • Marinate the quails with the turmeric powder, half the ginger garlic paste, a little chilli powder, coriander powder and salt for an hour
  • Heat some oil in a pan
  • Add the marinated quails and cook them till they are soft
  • Heat the remaining oil and add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamon
  • Fry the onions till they are brown
  • Add the ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt to taste
  • Add the quails to the masala and let it cook for a while
  • Sprinkle the almond powder and let it simmer for a couple of minutes
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
