Description:
A simple, fool-proof daal you can literally eat every day.
Ingredients:
Moong daal
Spices: turmeric, chili, mustard, jeera, whole dried red chilis
½ onion chopped
2 tomatoes roughly chopped
2 -3 garlic cloves, crushed
Curry leaves
Directions:
Add about 1 cup moong daal, 1 tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chili powder, 2 tsp oil, 3 cups water and allow to cook. May need to add additional water as it cooks.
When ¾ cooked, add ½ onion and 2 tomatoes, allow to cook
Once fully cooked add salt and jeera powder
Add thadka – mustard, jeera, whole dried red chilis, 2-3 garlic, curry leaves
